Powers of Attorney - last few months!!! -

EPA\'s have proved to be a simple and effective procedure for managing a persons affairs when they have become unable to to so themselves. They will not be available after 30th September. The new procedure is more complex and much more expensive. We strongly advise clients to sign EPA\'s while they still can. Please call for more details or a leaflet.

Enduring Powers of Attorney -

The new Mental Capacity Act will mean that Enduring Powers of Attorney (\"EPAs\") will not be available after 1st October 2007, although those signed before that date will continue to be valid. The replacement procedure (\"Lasting Power of Attorney\") will be more complex and therefore more costly to implement. We anticipate a last-minute rush as clients become aware of the approaching deadline - if you are one of these, please do not leave it till the last minute!

Home Information Pack will become compulsory on all house sales from 1st June 2007. We are working with a national network of HIP providers to provide a cost-effective and efficient service.
The law concerning Enduring Powers of Attorney will change later this year. We are reviewing how this affects our clients and nore news will be posted on this site during the spring.
